Babeuf Records is a small, independent organisation that produces and releases music made by a collection of artists based in Cambridge in the UK. We are trying to make music and get it out into the world entirely on our own terms.

The process is undertaken without commercial consideration: we record in a makeshift studio in the north east of the city, copy the music onto CD-R, make all of the packaging by hand and sell the work, through this website, for the same amount it cost to buy the blank media and packaging materials.

We have no contracts, no-one is signed to the label, we make no profit for record companies, producers, pressing plants, distributers, chain-stores or on-line retailers.

It is our hope to foster one small community of creative people, writing, recording and releasing music for people who, like us, are sick of being told what is cool and what we should be into by people who are motivated by lust for profit and a fear of a population thinking for itself.
